India graduated from our Winter 2020 class an empowered woman. From the start of program, she was a leader, supported her teammates, and exemplified what it means to be professional. India never hesitated to uplift the other women in her class, and we know she will find success wherever she goes! Read more about India’s story below.

What circumstances brought you to where you were before you joined Together We Bake?

India: I was curious about the company, and I wanted to learn how to bake cookies. I had to know more!

What inspired you to apply to Together We Bake?

India: I’ve got two former students as flat mates, and they spoke so highly about the program. Plus, I wanted to attend a program that could add to my cooking skills.

How has Together We Bake changed your perspective on life?

India: Yes it has.

Has someone at Together We Bake (a fellow participant, a Volunteer, an instructor, etc.) had a particular influence on you?

India: Yes, Stephanie has been my greatest inspiration, Tricia has a listening ear, and Colida has patience and understanding. Lisbeth teaches with love and Lucy keeps me laughing, so I guess everyone is my favorite crew member.

How would you describe Together We Bake?

India: As a family business.

What do you feel is the most valuable thing Together We Bake does?

India: How everyone cares and respects each other.

What is the most valuable thing you learned at Together We Bake?

India: How to never let anything hold you back.

Do you have any specific memories of experience at Together We Bake?

India: Yes the teamwork of everyone and the camaraderie and laughter but most of all the kinship we all developed.

What was the most challenging thing about the program? How did you overcome that challenge?

India: I just did my best to learn all I could and everything came together.

What is something you are proud of that you achieved because of your participation in Together We Bake?

India: Learning how to be patient and pushing myself to the best I can be. 

What advice do you have for women considering applying to Together We Bake?

India: Apply, Apply, Apply. Best thing you could do.
