Hello, my name is Keke. I am a mother and a grandmother. I am re-entering the workforce, classes, restarting my whole entire life. Mistakes are to be made and not repeated. I’ve made mistakes in the past, but I don’t plan on repeating them. I want to build a better future for myself and my kids, and I will do so with the help of Together We Bake.
I came across Together We Bake through self-exploration. I was looking for something or someone to help me start a new path in life and assist me with gaining the proper tools to start a new career. I had a friend who went through this program prior to my attendance and she is doing great for herself. I want that same thing in my life.
I love the program. It is extremely empowering. The environment, the people, and the staff that I am surrounded by everyday gives me something to look forward to. I am happy to be applying myself in a positive way and learning new skills that I can use this time around, in my second chance at life.
I am remaining optimistic. Life after Together We Bake is very encouraging to me. I see myself getting a great job and being dedicated to doing whatever it takes to take care of myself, my children, and my grandchildren. I am also looking forward to spreading the word about how much of a positive experience this program has been for me. My advice to anyone out there struggling and searching for answers is to not give up. There are people all around that are willing to help you, you just need to let them in. Stay focused on the positive.
