Meet Nikki

I am 67 year woman. I first heard about TWB from my baby sister who had gone through the program after she was released from incarceration. I had mentioned to my sister that I was interested in learning about food safety and getting my food handler’s license. My oldest son was interested in starting a catering business and I thought maybe I could join him in this pursuit.  I was also thinking about raising money for my church through baking. I raised the subject with my priest and he suggested that I could use the church kitchen as long as I donated a portion to the church! This really motivated me!

From the beginning, the program has more than surpassed my expectations. TWB uses a holistic approach in helping to empower women who need a second chance. The fact that this program addresses my interest in baking, catering and the bonus of adding yoga is P-E-R-F-E-C-T! In the next 2-5 years, I hope to have a catering business up and running with my son and raising funds for my church!
