My name is Berlinda. I am just a 26 year old girl who loves her family, God, and appreciates life.
I came across TWB through my probation officer when I was incarcerated in the Alexandria Jail. I was just talking to her and I broke down. I was talking to her about how I was such a mess and didn’t know what to do with my life once I got out. She talked to me about TWB and brought me an application to fill out. Two weeks later she brought me a date for an interview.
I love Together We Bake. I’m so glad I dedicated my time to come. First of all, TWB has made a huge difference in my life physically, mentally and spiritually. A girl who wanted to commit suicide because she didn’t know what to do with her life and thought she was a mess, is now grown into such a powerful and brave girl. I want more, I want to do more. I can’t wait to see what the future holds. I’ve come a long way. I got two jobs while in TWB, and I am starting school in Spring 2016. It is all because of Stephanie, Tricia, Hannah and Colida. This is the best decision I’ve made in my entire life. I truly live a life of favor. All I prayed for when locked up was for God to please send me to the right people. Everything I’m going through and everything happening now is something I prayed for months ago. God is awesome. My favorite part of the program was learning how to bake the cookies and granola.
Life after Together We Bake is promising to me. Things have started going well with me. I’m on the right path and again thanks to TWB so much for the opportunity. You guys have taught me a lot. My life is a living testimony. Thank you Stephanie and Tricia. May God richly bless you two.
