We believe that every woman possesses the power to transform her life, and we know that employment is a key pathway to that transformation.
Our focus is supporting women with low income who are navigating barriers to employment and are motivated to transform their lives. Through our innovative nonprofit social enterprise, we prepare program participants for quality jobs that offer not just employment but pathways to opportunity, growth, and family-sustaining wages.
Our goal is that each woman who walks through our doors leaves with the tools and support needed to create a better future for herself, her family, and her community.

WHO WE SERVE
Together We Bake serves women in the Washington, DC metro area who are ready to transform their lives and pursue meaningful employment. Our participants bring resilience and determination as they navigate challenges like housing instability, justice involvement, recent immigration, and recovery. We support women with limited resources who are motivated to create brighter futures for themselves and their families.
TWB ALUMNI TESTIMONIALS
Together We Bake has impacted me on so many levels. I have broken out of a shell that I was hiding in for many years and have a sense of identity of who I am. They have given me new tools to implement in my everyday life like breathing, yoga, negotiation skills and ServSafe. But, most of all, a sisterhood of so many beautiful souls.

This is more than a meeting place. It’s a place where we recover our identities as women, as productive beings. We recover our dreams. We no longer feel disoriented in an unknown country. We find the direction and we find the purpose. We recover what we came to this nation for, knowing that there are people who extend their hand.

TWB doesn’t just impact me – it also impacts my family and my whole life because everything that I’m learning I’m sharing with my family and my daughter. I feel like it has made a tremendous impact on our relationship and all my other relationships, too.
