Baking Futures: The Role of Interns at Together We Bake

At Together We Bake, we believe in the power of second chances and first opportunities.

Every season, we welcome a new group of interns into our small but mighty team. They come from local high schools, colleges, universities, and community programs, eager to learn, serve, and grow. What they may not know when they first walk through our doors is that they're not just supporting a nonprofit, they're helping lead a movement.

Interns at Together We Bake are not coffee-fetchers or observers. They are contributors, collaborators, and change agents.

Whether shaping our new entrepreneurship curriculum, managing social media campaigns that amplify our mission, supporting production in the kitchen, or helping guide women through job readiness programming, our interns roll up their sleeves and dive into meaningful, hands-on work.

They leave not only with new skills but with a deeper understanding of why the nonprofit sector matters and the role they can play in strengthening their community for the long term.

Our goal is simple: to offer an internship experience that is challenging, transformative, and rooted in values. Interns walk away knowing they've made a difference.

But they also leave with something more - a lifelong commitment to giving back, a deep respect for inclusive economic empowerment, and a renewed belief in what community care looks like.

Because at Together We Bake, we're not just baking cookies. We're baking confidence, purpose, and futures - together.
